
Claudia Casper is the author of the bestseller, The Reconstruction, The Continuation of Love by Other Means, which was short-listed for the Ethel Wilson BC Book Prize (both published by Penguin), and The Mercy Journals, which won the Phillip K. Dick Award (published by Arsenal). Her writing has appeared in the Globe and Mail, the Vancouver Sun, Geist Magazine, subTerrain, Event, Best Canadian Short Stories (Oberon) and the anthology Dropped Threads: What We Aren’t Told (Vintage), edited by Carol Shields and Marjorie Anderson.
Her work has been published in Canada, the US, the UK, and Germany.
She teaches at Simon Fraser University’s Writer’s Studio, has been writer-in-residence at Whistler and the Iceland Writer’s Retreat, and moderated at the Vancouver Writer’s Festival and Nature Through Her Eyes in Perpignan, France. Casper was born in Toronto and received a BA from the University of Toronto. She lives in Vancouver.
